Grease Monkey - Mega Man X by pierski Grease Monkey - Mega Man X by pierski
This was one of three Rejected Mega Man X Mavericks that I created for this Dueling Analogs comic. Since the online comic is so small, I wanted to put a larger version here to show more of the character's detail.

This piece was drawn in Photoshop and colored completely in Illustrator.

I love his line and when, I saw my mom talking to my brother about his greasy hair I ran over and yelled "grease is the word, it's the sound, it's the motion!"

Probably not. I already created a poster that collected all the Rejected Mega Man Villains on it [here]. Though, I still might put some more of my favorite Rejected Mega Man X Mavericks on here as they are created.

Did you draw it on real paper then scan it and do all that jazz to it on here or do you have a Tablet? Either way I wish I had your skill with coloring XD

With this, as with most of my artwork, I start with the brush tool in Photoshop and sketch out the artwork with my tablet. Then, I copy the sketch into Illustrator, put down the pen and grab the mouse and finish up the vectors/colors.

Cool, I've been trying to get along with my tablet. Lately I haven't been able to do so though, I started drawing stuff and I was trying to at least do an outline each month, but that hasn't been going very well XD. I have artist's block quite often anyway.

I really enjoy your art and comics, keep it up!

Do you have any other tips? I really do want to get into drawing better on here, but I'm still a novice when it comes to actually making a good line when I start my drawings. Another of my friends said it takes a good while to get used to it, but I'm not sure how to practice or anything.

Thanks.

I'm pretty new to the tablet myself... I use a Cintiq WX12. All I can really say is keep doing it.

Grease monkey turned out great, and I can totally see it as a rockman regenerating villain.
...also, I had an idea as to LOL cat's skill... probably been suggested before, but:
freezes time in a snapshot, with one of several random phrase speech bubbles displayed - LOL cat and Rockman frozen, but patrolling enemies on level are not.

Of the three, this is the one I enjoyed most, actually. Clever, yet even more so when you think of the possible attacks he could have.

Could have a sweet attack that cause the enemy to slide across the greased floor at an expediential rate until said enemy either crashes into something and receives serious damage or flies off a cliff. Very cool indeed.
